MozCoats is the result of driving Mozambique expertise and commitment into a 75% Mozambique indigenous owned coating contractor servicing the oil, LNG and industrial markets within Mozambique.
From its beginnings in 2021, MozCoats has provided a platform of supplying competent and credible inspectors, applicators and sand blast personnel with substantial experience within the industry.
MozCoats has taken the strategic decision of incorporating its Inhambane offices in Vilanculos in order to service the increasing opportunity for providing a variety of coating applications for the growing number of oil and gas projects in the area.

Expansion of Specialized Coating Services in Northern Mozambique
MozCoats is pleased to announce the forthcoming establishment of registered offices in Pemba and Palma, Cabo Delgado Province, to provide dedicated specialized coating application and inspection services in support of the accelerating LNG developments in the Rovuma Basin.
These new facilities will enable direct, efficient delivery of high-performance protective coating solutions for both offshore infrastructure (pipelines, risers, and platforms) and onshore facilities at the Afungi LNG site.
Services encompass surface preparation and application of advanced anti-corrosion coating systems, thermal insulation coatings, and fireproofing applications, tailored to demanding LNG environments including high humidity, saline exposure, and elevated operational temperatures.
All coating applicators are Train the Painter certified (Lloyd’s Register endorsed), and inspectors are qualified to ICorr and NACE/AMPP standards from Level 1 to Level 3.
This ensures full compliance with international specifications while supporting Mozambique’s Local Content objectives and workforce development.
MozCoats is positioned to support both Area 1 (Mozambique LNG) and Area 4 (Rovuma LNG) developments with reliable, compliant, and technically robust coating services.
